One of the first places James and Jackie took me to here in Brisbane was the lookout on the top of Mount Coot-Tha. It's a little mountain around here that's in the middle of a big system of trails and forest, and is also the home of the broadcasting towers of several (all?) of the major TV stations. On the top of the hill there's a little tourist trap area where you can grab a bite and drink something cold while you look out over the city. The walk up takes you through a nice forest full of a few varieties of gum trees. The view from the top is great - you get a full panorama of the greater Brisbane area, all the way from the ocean out to the mountains to the west.

Wow, nice panorama!
ReplyDeleteThanks Diana. I really like putting together photos like that. I've got a couple others from Kangaroo point that I'll post soon.
