Kangaroo Point Climbing

The other day I was out at Kangaroo Point, which is a place I heard about even before I left because it's right in the city and it's a great spot for rock climbing. These pictures are from the first weekend I was here when we had a barbecue. Unfortunately my bum arm has kept me from climbing myself, but in another couple weeks when I'm better I'm definitely going to become a regular here. In the meantime, I'll have to be content with barbecuing.

Another thing that's cool about climbing here is that they've got big flood lights at the base of the cliffs. It gets so hot here in the summer that the only time people climb from November-February is in the evening after the sun goes down. I imagine the shadows make it challenging, but it beats not climbing at all.
