As per usual, I don't know what the vast majority of these plants are called so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

More behind the fold:

I loved these things. Too cool.

The base of these guys are great. I think the next image is of a much bigger individual of the same species.

I saw these on Mt. Coot-Tha growing off the gum trees.

Figs!

This guy was about 3 inches across. There were a whole pile of them in the fenced in overpass going over the highway. I like his little mummified dead bug storage space.

This floss silk tree looked just vicious and hateful. Those spikes are over an inch long.

This is too cute. The big one is a statue, the little one is real.

More lizards. Both these guys were in the meter long range.

These seed pods or whatever they are were about the size of boat bumpers.

I'm sure these weren't actually orchids, but they reminded me of them.

Cacti often have such beautiful flowers. It's Australian spring, so lots of stuff is in bloom right now.

We saw this guy on the way home. He was about 40cm tall, and half of that height was his big stork style legs. Jackie said she thought he was an endangered species, but I don't recall the name.
What a great day!
thank you for sharing these amazing photos!
